Howls for War in Ramadan
Ramadan has started, it's a month of piety, charity, self-reflection, and peace.
Too bad Israel and the US don't care about such things...
... As they escalate towards an immoral, selfish, and foolish war of aggression on Iran.1 Every bit of pretense offered to make it seem otherwise is an insult to all of our intelligence and that no one in US politics is even making any serious attempt to stop it shows how nakedly degraded and evil the American empire has become. Every bit of silence or approval on this from The American bloc of countries shows their complicity in this evil.
But whatever you may think of Israel or Iran it is obvious they each want the same thing. The replacement of a hostile foreign government with one that is no longer a threat, or maybe even an ally. It is a symmetrical desire.
What is revealing is how these identical wants are portrayed in Anglo and Western European societies. Iran is described as wanting the 'destruction' of the country of Israel2, while Israel is said to be merely seeking a 'regime change' in Iran3. 'Regime change' being a phrase that does a lot of work to sanitize the violent destruction of human lives and families caused by acts of war, making it acceptable to Anglo and Western European sensibilities. This is a widely asymmetrical portrayal as by every material metric it is Israel that is the evil 'regime', being credibly accused of the crime of crimes, a modern livestreamed holocaust, and actively brutally grabbing land in the West Bank and denying necessary aid to the population in Gaza they have devastated and continue to besiege and starve.4
All you need to do is imagine how differently the hostilities would be understood if the complicit and compromised Anglo and Western European media said that Israel was the one seeking to 'destroy Iran' while Iran only desired a 'regime change' in Tel-Aviv. Based on the amount of civilian infrastructure destroyed and innocents murdered by each respective political entity, it would be a depiction of reality far closer to the truth.
Truth and Justice are also core concepts to reflect on in the holy month of Ramadan as we fast and are commanded to be truthful and just, and while Islam guarantees justice in the afterlife we can pray for it, and work towards it in this one as the howling march to an illegal and unjust war escalates from the Yankee Bloc. Speaking out and spreading truth is one of the least things we can do.
All opinions my own, in the end only God knows best, may the month of Ramadan bring blessings to you and your family whether you celebrate or not.
